4 THINGS YOU CAN STILL DO IN SAIGON AFTER THE HOLIDAYS.

Top 4 things to do in Saigon after the holidays

As you find yourself sprawled on the way to work today, you must have come to the realization that your endeared Tet is over, and it would not return until next year. As despondent you might have felt, don't be! For Tet might have been over but you can still live on and enjoy this most beautiful time of the year by following the fairly well instructed list below, in respect to something you can do when the holidays are finally over:

1. Nguyen Hue Flower Street is still open !

That is true. Set to be open for public viewing for seven days, this perfect haven for photogenic souls has only reached day four. If you have not visited the flower street yet, just spare some time and do it right now with friends and family. The reasons you have not visited Nguyen Hue Flower Street are either 1) you were busy or 2) you did not really enjoy places crowded with people, right? Therefore, just visit the flower street right now because not so many people are visiting the street anymore (as they already did.) Well then, do it.

2. Coffee and boba tea shops have come back to life !

You were upset about not beind able to find a place to catchup with friends during the holidays? As most coffee and boba tea shops were closed during the holidays, here is a good news: they're back. Well, you did not hear it wrong. They are really back. Your beloved Phuc Long, Caztus, The Coffee House, and Chamichi are all back. Call your friends right now and ask for a meetup tonight !

3. Local markets re offering a great deal of inexpensive stuff right now !

You were too lazy to give in to the overly crowded markets during the holidays, yet the prices were a bit over the top. Well, you can visit the nearest local market nears your place right now as you will be able to find inexpensive leftovers of the holidays. Cheap bracelets, card games, flowers, and fresh food are all serving right now. And trust me, the markets are by no means a whirling vortex at the moment, so don't be scared.

4. Visit the downtown !

Downtown Saigon is a hodge-podge of cultures from every corner of the world. However, during the holidays, they were all tinged with a bit of Vietnamese peculiarities that you may find interesting to visit. For instance, the Japanese restaurant where my sister works were decorated with Vietnamese lanterns and national flags, some of the other restaurants even have a pot of mai tree in front. The aftertaste of the holidays are still lingering all over the places and would make downtown Saigon a wonderful place for you to dive in with friends.

Those were the four things you can still do in Saigon despite the fact that Tet is already over. As most of you are taking a nine-to-five job, just call your friends and do it right away. Tet might have been over but your precious springtime has not, don’t waste any second of it.
