Hanoi - Thay and Tay Phuong Pagodas (Start at: 8 a.m - Finish at: 04:00 p.m)
After 45-minute drive southwest of Hanoi, arrive at Tay Phuong Pagoda built in the 17th century. The pagoda is notable for the valuable collection of 18 jack-wood Arhat statues coated with lacquer. There are 239 laterite steps up to the pagoda, and from this height there is a wonderful view of the surrounding fields, laterite mountains and villages. 8km away is Thay Pagoda, built in the 11th century. Located in a tranquil and beautiful village, it is a combination of a Buddhist pagoda and a Taoist Temple. Drive back to Hanoi.
