4 Days Hiking to Discover Cao Bang

Duration: 4 Days

Day 1: Hanoi - Phia Thap (295 km)

08:00 departure from Hanoi to Cao Bang.

Stop for lunch at Bac Kan/or Cao Bang City.

After having lunch, start to hike 6km from the foot of Ma Phuc Pass - the most beautiful passes on Highway 3 to Phja Thap Village. On the peak of 1000m, you will be able to admire the natural landscape pictures of both majestic and poetic but extremely simple with undulating mountains, lush green terraced fields..

Upon arrival at Phja Thap Village, check-in at a homestay and be ready to visit craft-factories such as the factory of incense, paper...

Enjoy your dinner and overnight at a homestay.

Day 2: Phja Thap - Giap Than

Having a local breakfast with the local people.

08:00, from Phja Thap Village, heading to the starting point for 20 km by car.

Start to hike about 08km to visit ethnic villages and enjoy your picnic lunch on the road.

In the afternoon, continue hikes through fields of culture and ethnic villages.

You will have to climbs and descents constantly from the height of 50m to 70m.

An opportunity to enjoy magnificent views of the valleys and discovery the town of Giap Than.

Check-in at a homestay and visit a small waterfall nearby then keep walking along the Bac Vong River.

Back to your homestay for dinner and overnight at Tay’s Stilt House.

Day 3: Giap Than - Ban Gioc Falls

Enjoy your breakfast with the locals then departure to Po Tau by car for 30 km.

Start your day by hiking 9km along Que Son RIver (or a 6km kayak trip and 2km walk if you prefer, kayak fees are at your own expense).

Your lunch will served at a homestay in Ban Hang.

In the afternoon, from Ban Hang continue hiking to a beautiful Nguom Ngao Cave.

You will have chance to see the beauty of sparkling, fanciful by the rock blocks, color blocks.

Keep moving to visit the Ban Gioc waterfall - the invaluable gift granted to Cao Bang by the nature.

Having dinner and a last night stay in Cao Bang city.

Day 4: Cao Bang – Hanoi
