Program details

Day 01: Thailand arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and picked up by our guide and then transfer to the city center for check-in hotel. Have your own dinner and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.

Day 02: Bangkok – Damnoen Saduak – Kwai river (B/L)

Enjoy your breakfast, before departing to the very picturesque Damnoen Saduak floating market; also known as Klong Ton Kem. Get on the board to travel around the market. Damnoen Saduak is about 80km away from Bangkok and is the most popular floating market. The market is always busy with a lot of merchants who sell variety of products. Traveling on the boat offers many interesting views of rural life in Thailand. Next, depart to Kancharaburi; have stop on the way to visit the allied soldier cemetery who built the bridge on Kwai river. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. And then discover the bridge and the Death Railway along the river. Transfer to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel near the river.

Day 03: Kwai River – Bangkok (B/L)

Return to Bangkok after your breakfast. On the way back, visit Nakhom Pathom Chedi with the impressive steps up to 127 high. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting “city of Angels”. Discover the sumptuous Royal Palace and Temple of Emerald Buddha statue. Then ride motorized boat on Chao Prava river with stop at temple of Dawn on the way. The temple was built in the Ayutthaya period (1782 – 1809) on the bank of Thonburi opposite to Gran Palace. The main attraction of the temple is the pagoda in 19 meters high and surrounded by four smaller pagodas. Have your own dinner and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.
Day 04: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Phitsanulok (B/L)

Enjoy breakfast before heading out to Ayutthaya to visit the main vestiges of the ancient capital. The historic city of Ayutthaya was built under the name of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and was the capital of Thailand in 417 years. Many monuments and vestiges of the era can be visited in this city. During the period, Ayutthaya was the capital under 33 kings with many successes until being sacked by the Burmese in 1767. Next, continue to Lopburi – “city of monkey”, visit Prang Sam Yot in Khmer architecture and has became the symbol of Lop Buri and was restored in the 17th century. Have your own dinner and overnight at hotel in Bangkok.

Day 05: Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Chiang Rai (B/L)

Visit the main temple - Phitsanulok and its golden Buddha. Continue to Sukhothai considered as twin city of Sukhothai for visit the main ruins of the Historical Park. The Royal Palace extends to the center of the city, surrounded by a moat with two important sites: the royal residence and the royal sanctuary. Have lunch before traveling to Chiang Rai passing jungle clad hills. Along the way, stop at Phavao – a small 11th century town where you will enjoy relaxing beside lake. Finally, check in hotel and relax before having your own dinner. Overnight at hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 06: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai (B/L)

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the Golden Triangle and Mekong river which is a natural border of Thailand, Laos and Burma. Upon arrival, get on the motorized boat to travel along the Kok river with stop at a ethnic minority village. After that, drive to Chiang Mai. Enjoy Khantoke dinner dance show. Overnight at hotel in Chiang Mai.
Day 07: Chieng Mai exploration (B)

After breakfast at hotel, visit the temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep which is one of the most revered Buddhist shrines in Northern Thailand located on a hill overlooking the city. The temple is located on the Doi Suthep Mountain which is about 15 km out of Chiang Mai and is one of the most beautiful and famous sites in Chiang Mai. In the temple, we can have a great panoramic view of the city as it is 1,000 meter above the sea level. The first is a 309 step pretty vertical climb up the mountain. The stairs are flanked by huge Naga creatures. Later return to handicraft villages with silk, lacquer, umbrellas, silverware, precious gem. Have your own dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Chiang Mai – Bangkok (B/L)

In the morning, visit a elephant training camp where you will attend the elephant coaching and showering (Option: you can ride an elephant – pay at your own cost). Later visit an orchid farm. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to train station for an overnight train back to Bangkok.

Day 09: Bangkok – Departure (B)

Arrive Bangkok, check in hotel and take your free time to discover further the city before transferring to the airport for the flight to the next destinations.
